The San Diego Center for Chemical Genomics (SDCCG) is a multi-disciplinary, collaborative effort of scientists from the Burnham Institute for Medical Research, Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies, and Human Biomolecular Research Institute. Housed at the Burnham, SDCCG is bringing the power of high throughput screening (HTS) to the public research community. The screening of thousands of organic compounds (small molecule libraries) with HTS is one of the most powerful techniques employed in commercial drug discovery. The SDCCG was selected to be a part of the Molecular Library Screening Center Network (MLSCN) established by the NIH Roadmap for Medical Research Initiative to accelerate medical discoveries.
