Yes...I think we're close to the Tipping Point as Gladwell would say (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tipping_Point_%28book%29)

We do keep stats as I have discussed elsewhere (http://www.chemspider.com/blog/chemspider-introduces-access-to-deferred-transactions-and-personal-history-of-searches.html). We have just put in place the tool to filter out indexing hits from search engines (about 30,000 per day at present) and the number of searches and transactions can now be isolated. I estimate the number of searches and transactions somewhere around 1500 per day (above 1000 and less than 2000 :-) )

The number of user submitted items at present is around 200 (this meaning structures and spectra) but I hope to see this grow. We have about 120 spectra so far and the rest made up in structures. There have been >600 online curations (http://www.chemspider.com/feedbackcurated.aspx) and 100s of new identifiers added and bad ones deleted (I don't have a count).

I like what SureChem do at their home page: http://www.surechem.org/. Take a look at their SureChem Data Summary. I will be submitting to Bugzilla today the request for a panel like this on the home page of ChemSpider with the following info: Number of structures, Number of structure depositions, Number of data depositions, Number of posted comments, Number of identifiers added, Number of identifiers curated,

What else???

Anthony, CS appears to be gaining momentum.

Out of curiosity, if you're keeping statistics on the number of queries performed (structure or text), what does that graph look like? Or the number of user-submitted items? Or the number of user edits (curations)?

These data might be interesting to look a when planning the next phase.
