I had previously put out a call to developers of web-capable structure drawing tools to see who would be willing to provide a drawing tool for us to integrate with the “InChI Resolver“. I am happy to announce that Symyx will provide us their Symyx JDraw applet. Presently in beta-testing we will unveil the applet integrated to the InChI Resolver at the ACS meeting in Salt Lake City. Symyx presently provides a no-fee version of its Symyx Draw application for academic and home use. Symyx Draw is used across many Life Science organizations and it makes sense for us to adopt a drawing application already in use across industry as well as widely available to all students for no charge.
