We thank all of you for your support of ChemSpider this year. We hope you have provided some value to you and look forward to continuing to expand our efforts even more for you in 2008. We believe we are already contributing to the shift of access to information in Chemistry and welcome your thoughts, comments and inspirations! With that…our hope for peace in the world and health and happiness for you all.
‘Twas the night before Christmas, And all through the house,
The only thing moving, Was a hand on a mouse.
Clicking and dragging, And moving around,
The screen of ChemSpider, With nary a sound.

The site was in action and work would not stop,
Curating, depositing, a new menu to drop.
With the Spider now crawling and the end of year nigh,
The team was slow breathing and releasing a sigh.

All was well for ChemSpider with fans far and wide,
Our pride was on hard drives and on Intel inside.
We’ve done what we said and given back to the masses,
A community for chemists, those profs, lads and lasses.

Our journey has started and we’ve a long way to go,
And we can’t imagine what the New Year will throw.
So be here as we’re working giving back to you all
And share all the good news as ChemSpider stands tall.

You’ve all been a-listening and talking quite loud,
We’ve done what we can to stand out from the crowd.
And users are prodding our web every day,
We’re proud to be free and there’s nothing to pay.

Our blogs get contentious, as much as the rest,
I’m British you know..and sarcastic at best.
We hope that you favor the work we have done,
But now step away and go and have fun.

Spend time with your families, Or others quite near,
And come crawl our web, As we hit the New Year.
We send hope for your health and peace now for all,
And a stable ChemSpider during New Year’s fine ball.

Stumble it!
