Jan 21 2015 7:10PM Normal Acknowledged You have listed: Titanium(IV) oxide, anatase Titanium(IV) oxide, rutile Anatase and rutile are two minerals that contain mostly TiO2. Thus, you seem to be having two names per entry. Also, do you want to use mineral names? If so, I would recommend using separately rutile mineral (which I put in) and anatase mineral.
Thank you for the question. The names are used to indicate the different crystal forms which distinguish the different mineral forms that give rise to materials that are all based on titanium dioxide but are quite different. I would advise very light curation of records relating to minerals (or other records where there is a significant effect caused by different extended structures that can occur for the same chemical species) where it is difficult to curate unambiguously.

Thanks for the question - this term comes from a number of data sources - I believe it stands for Veterinary approved name. For the moment I wouldn't worry about this we will be looking at an automatic method of removing this text from names in the coming weeks.
