Jan 20 2014 7:19PM Normal Acknowledged This structure is not selenophenol. Selenophenol is benzeneselenol (cf. thiophenol). How one gets the name 2-selenophenol is a mystery to me (a computer generated name?) The name 2-hydroxyselenophene is however correct. Sorry about any confusion that my previous comment caused - I didn't see that the correct name also was listed. (A quick check that I find useful when I'm uncertain is to "google" and select "images" - this often gives reasonable structures)
I've made the less ambiguous name the record title. Thank you for you continued contribution to ChemSpider.

It is a little ambiguous what exactly you are wanting to feedback on. As a guess I'm wondering if you do not agree with the name used as the title for this record. If so, this is a case where naming conventions collide: this is an alcohol based on selenophene and therefore is called a selenophenol - the locant also gives a distinction from the use of selenophenol as a name for http://www.chemspider.com/Chemical-Structure.62734.html. If you were trying to make a different point please do email us and we'll try to assist.
Dec 22 2012 12:07AM Normal Acknowledged The structure of selenophenol is wrong. Selenophenol has the same structure of phenol:instead having an oxygen atom it has a selenium one.!
Thank you for your feedback - I think that this is a case where naming conventions collide an alcohol based on selenophene might well be called a selenophenol. But I will try to curate this to add some clarity.
