Sep 24 2008 12:22AM Normal Fixed I looked for ibuprofen and got two structures. One has a Wikipedia link and one does not. I added links on Wikipedia back to the Chemspider page, but instead of linking the ibuprofen entry that links to wikipedia, I instead linked to the ibuprofen that has sterochemistry defined and has some spectra. In the future, which entry should I point to when I encounter this? I'm for linking it to whatever entry has the most info, such as spectra or stereochemistry. And thoughts?
Ibuprofen is: (±) - 2 - (p - isobutylphenyl) propionic acid The link back to this page is incorrect. Notice the wiggly bond in the structure on WIkipedia indicating it is a mixture of both isomers. I have removed the label of ibuprofen from this ChemSpider record so that a search on Ibuprofen will not return the record next time. Please edit the ChemSpider ID on WIkipedia to link to the other record. If you do a search on ChemSPider and find numerous structures next time feel free to ask me and I will assist in curating
