The Raman spectrum, which is provided for vaccenic acid corresponds to (11Z)-octadec-11-enoic acid and is not a reflection of the currently listed trans configuration. Please take a look at the scattering frequency of the C=C bond.

Thank you for your feedback - looking at the publication from which this data was sourced it does explicitly state that the spectrum is for the cis isomer. I have therefore moved the spectrum to the appropriate record. |
