Feb 5 2013 1:48PM Normal Acknowledged I found your #494013 when looking for (E)-7-methyl-1, 6-dioxaspiro[4.5]decane, so close but not close enough. If possible, it would be nice to have the latter which is a biologically active compound. Zhang Q-H, Tolasch T, Schlyter F, Francke W. 2002. Enantiospecific antennal response of bark beetles to spiroacetal (E)-conophthorin. J Chem Ecol 28: 1839-1852
Thank you for your feedback. It appears that (E)-7-methyl-1,6-dioxaspiro[4.5]decane can refer to either the (5S,7S)-stereoisomer or the (5R,7R)-stereoisomer, both of which can be found in ChemSpider. The (5S,7S)-isomer can be found here: http://www.chemspider.com/Chemical-Structure.136629.html and the (5R,7R)-isomer can be found here: http://www.chemspider.com/Chemical-Structure.9291433.html . If you are looking for a racemic mixture of only these two stereoisomers and excluding the (5S,7R)- and (5R,7S)-stereoisomers, unfortunately we do not have a way of encoding this kind of relative stereochemistry. There is a record with undefined stereochemistry here: http://www.chemspider.com/Chemical-Structure.9291428.html .
