Aug 29 2014 1:11PM	Normal	Acknowledged	When I search for 2-methyl-1-propanol or 78-83-1 (CAS number for 2-methyl-1-propanol) I get the results page for pentane. This needs to be fixed! Thank you for your feedback. When I perform the name search that you refer to I get the correct record. I have curated the identifier 78-83-1 so that this will not come up as a match - however we would always recommend that you search by name or structure. While some sources have made data that many be CAS numbers available outside of the CAS registry (and licenced products) the reliability of CAS RN association to data is of variable quality due to the closed nature of the registry.
