I believe the names: Kalcohl 40 and Kalcohl 4098 are trade names. You may want to designate them as such and use 1-tetradecanol as the common name. Also, Kalcohl 40 is sometimes associated with RN 8032-14-2, fatty alcohol (C14) a RN not associated with 1-tetradecanol by EPA (former CAS numbers, incorrectly used CAS numbers: http://iaspub.epa.gov/sor_internet/registry/substreg/searchandretrieve/advancedsearch/externalSearch.do?p_type=SRSITN&p_value=28670
