There are numerous visual elements of ChemSpider requiring enhancement. And that is from our point of view….you likely have your own taste in how ChemSpider should be enhanced and may have more feedbcak for us.
Below we give an example of a visual element changed in the latest update of the database and accompanying the update of the masses detailed previously.
Until now the empirical formulae did not display isotopes because of the issue of causing confusion in the display of a formula. Subscripts were also not displayed. Since isotopic labeling is of course of interest the ability to display subscripts and superscripts in a formula has been enabled.
Compare the difference between the 1st and 3rd records in the figure below in terms of clarity of the empirical formulae.
